Service Description

This 90 minute presentation , delivered by our Co-Founder Gary Hayes and Lead Trainer Darren Stokes, looks at the causes and effects of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTS) within our Emergency Services. We look at how the brain responds to trauma, treatments and self care for building resilience. These session ends with a very powerful real case study where we hear from the partner and a child of the person affected by undiagnosed/untreated PTSD. Throughout the presentation we address the stigma attached to PTSD and Mental Health and look at why men are less likely to speak openly about their struggles.
